We Are the Larson’s

Hi! We are the Larson’s. Welcome to our little corner of the World Wide Web. I have loved blogging about our years living in London, sharing photos of that beautiful city (@larsonsinlondon) and will continue to share some of our adventures now that we are back on American soil (@ourlarsonlife)!

If you have any questions about London, day trips or - my personal favorite - food recommendations, in Europe, I’m here for you! I have a wealth of knowledge I need to write down and share before I lose it or it becomes sadly outdated.

A few upcoming posts will compile specific recommendations I have sent to friends and family over the years!

Quick back story on us: we met through mutual friends, married about a year later, graduated with our bachelor’s degrees in Utah and moved to London for Taylor’s job in finance shortly thereafter. Yup, that’s marriage, college graduation and international move within 8 months. Kinda crazy but in the best way!

We lived in west London for nearly 4 years during which time we adjusted, travelled, learned, grew, and left a piece of our hearts there.

We adjusted to living in a foreign country (though that was relatively easy because of the whole English language thing!); travelled all over on trains and low-fare airlines (hard and annoying but worth it); learned about ourselves, our new city, new words and customs, like how to maintain proper RBF for travel on public transport ;) (and much more); and most of all, grew as a couple and as a family.

We survived our share of work stress, heartbreak of two miscarriages and the not-so-glamorous parts of city living. Those experiences stretched us the most.

The amazing @kamiweddickphoto gave us a beautiful way to remember the places we lived and loved. It can be argued that any corner of London is photogenic enough for family photos but these streets will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Thank you for being here!
